Abstract: A fundamental source of information about Spanish-Roman society in the fourth century is Elvira's Council being the most antique writing about a disciplinary council which are preserved. Its elevated number of canons makes the allusions about women very frequent, and thematic range is very wide. So, there are canons which refers to conditions of women: servants, married, widow or consecrated virgin; from a different optic as well, brides, if parents break bethrothal, or about parents who give their daughters in a marriage.

Consequences of the migration of romanians on their family life

Abstarct: The Consequences of Romanians’ migration on the Family Life. The migration phenomenon is not particular only to modern societies, but it existed since forever,  materialized through invasions, colonization, transhumance and it is caused by the attraction wielded by the richer areas for the poor populations striving for a better life.  After the anticommunist revolution in December 1989 and the fall of Ceausescu’s dictatorship, the migration phenomenon increases without precedent. The main cause of migration has an economic reason, over 50% woman, mostly from rural areas, ages between 19-35 being part of the emigrant category.  The most attractive countries proved to be those from Mediterranean area, Italy, France, Spain, due to greater communication facilities and integration in these neo Latin nations like Romania. The migration of the labor force to western countries had both positive and negative effects. The positive effects were felt not only in the increase of living standard of the families with more then one member gone to work abroad, but also in the economy of the destination and native due money spending and investments. The negative effects were registered in the family life, with disastrous implications on the idea of family, on the relation between partners and between parents and children. Elements affected were the primary socialization, education, juvenile delinquency was increased, as well as the divorce rate, thus appearing alterations in the family structure and functions. We are now facing a restructuring of the family values with long run social consequences. The SWOT analysis presents both strong and weak points, as well as the opportunities and threats of Romanians’ migration, with consequences on all tree actors involved: the migrant, the native country and the destination country.

Parteneriate interetnice în echipele de cercetare din mediul universitar

Abstract: In the context of analyzing the role of Romanian university, the first part of this study shows the contribution of this institution in the field of interethnic relations. There is a detailed presentation of concrete aspects regarding the research teams from The University of Oradea, Romania and their ethnic configuration.
The study is mainly based on comparing the results of the research among the interethnic teams on one side, and on the results of another team category, where people belong to a single ethnic group and the number of Romanian teachers is relatively equal to the number of Hungarian ones. Also, the study tends to sustain the surprising conclusion, according to which interethnic co-operation represents an important factor of stimulating creative capacities and social affirmation.

Keywords: university, co-operation, research groups, the ethnic configuration of the research groups, research teams where most of the members belong to a single ethnicity, ethnicity and performance.

Eseu despre cultură şi interculturalitate

Abstract: This text was named „essay” (a concept that combines subjectivist suppositions with scientific issues), because I am surprised about the easiness with which the terms „culture” and „intercultural” are being used. There are some merging problems with the concepts and semantics of „culture” and also regarding the difficulty to define the term of „inter-culturality”. My essay challenges the canonism of some concepts with all their array of senses and interpretations.  Even the word „inter-culturality” has been fixed to soon in a standardized definition.

Keywords: culture, inter-culturality, cultural institution, organisational culture.

Viaţa şi muzica rromilor, sursă de inspiraţie pentru muzicienii  români şi europeni în secolele al xix-lea şi al xx lea.

Abstract: The best instrument of human communication, coexistence and understanding, the music is using the most abstract and universal language, being an art very useful for the other arts and for education. The rroma element represented a source of inspiration, a foundation, a key motive for the Romanian and European composers from 19th and 20th century. Musicians as Giuseppe Verdi, Georges Bizet, Johann Strauss – the son, Franz Lehar, Imre Emmerich Kalman, Franz Liszt, Johannes Brahms, Maurice Ravel, Manuel de Falla, Rodion Shchedrin or Ciprian Porumbescu, Ion Scărlătescu, Grigoraş Dinicu, George Enescu, Mihail Jora, Alexandru Zirra, Filip Lazăr, Theodor Rogalski, Dinu Lipatti, Ion Dumitrescu, are a few of those who knew how to capture the unicity of the timbre, the colour, the style and the creative inspiration form, in which it can be redescovered the Roma life and music. From the view of an intercultural musical education, the inclusion of these information in the textbooks it is necessary. As time passes by, the role and the place of the fiddler’s and Roma’s music within the development and affirmation course of folk and academic music is beginning to be outlined distinctively. It must be appreciated the inclusion of the Roma-fiddlers etnia specific repertory within the music works of Romanian and European composers. This is because of the incontestable merit of Roma fiddlers in the preservation of the traditional folk tunes’ essential patrimony, as well as the erasing of the prejudices that the fiddlers’ music coud not represent an honorable source of creation on behalf of academic works creators. The thematic assented by some composers from 19th and 20th century, the one of Roma’s lives, could not be musical transposed but by resorting to etnia specific sources. Besides renewing the academic musical language, the creations bear the emotional- aesthetic fingerprint which means a distinctive sonorous echo within the European culture.

Dimensiuni interculturale ale cursului de limba engleză pentru studenţii de profil tehnic

Abstract: Now more than ever, science and technology do not belong to a single ethnic or national community. Science and technology do not communicate any more only through the universal language of mathematics, as they did in the past. Scicence and technology do not belong to an intellectual elitistic class any more, they have become an integrated part of our everyday lives.  In this new communicational framework, the engineers do not communicate solely in specific terms with their peers, they communicate with the entire world. This new context forces the engineers to become not only a good professional, but also to be a good communicator, to develop the intercultural competences they need to communicate successfully. This paper is based on a recent research I performed on technical university graduates who work as engineers. It presents some of the professional tasks and artefacts that the engineer of the 21st century produces in English at his/her workplace and how they could affect the teaching, learning and assessment of English for specific purposes.

Intercultural-multicultural în  societatea actuală

Abstract: If the multicultural societies are a reality and will be so in the future; if the explotation of many persons is used to support our privileged societies; if in our world, which become smaller and smaller and more interdependent – the few problems remain in the actual borders and will affect us sooner or later; if states are aware by their imposibility to stay isolated; if we believe in equal rights for all, then our actions should express those commitements of bringing change; our response shouldn’t be the building of some institutional and personal walls, which „keep the others in their places”, our reaction can’t be one of superiority. We should start relate to each other to an equality level – it doesn’t matter this is between different societies and cultures, between majority and minorities inside the same society. We must fight against discrimination at an international economical level, otherwisw the poverty and marginalisation will continue to exist at a global level. We must work with ourselves in order to understand and modify the prejudices and stereotypes.  We must settle a way of slowly transforming the multicultural societies in some intercultural ones..

Rolul şi locul elementelor socio-culturale în predarea / învăţarea limbii franceze

Abstract: Ethno-socio-cultural competence is a component of communication competence, the final goal of teaching and studying foreign languages. Learning a foreign language entails making contact with a new culture. Recognizing and respecting that culture for the particularities that it represents means, first of all, knowing and recognizing one's own culture. The intercultural discourse induces questioning of other cultures, but also of one's own culture. This mirror process puts the intercultural problem into the spotlight. In this context, the intercultural perspective  must be defined as a training in the sense of observation, understanding, putting into perspective the particulars of the foreign culture, not in the sense of taking it as a model to imitate, but for the purpose of developing intercultural dialogue.  In the framework of teaching/studying foreign languages, and cultures for that matter, in order to reach intercultural communication it is necessary that the students know to discern the similarities/convergences and differences/divergences between the foreign culture and their native culture, plus knowing how to use these aspects for a better communication/interaction.
Starting from these considerents, in the present work we aim at emphasizing the role that culture and civilization elements have in teaching/studying French, as well as the role that these elements have in the lection plans and in the didactic activities as a whole.
